Voucher for the Digital Transition of SMEs
Revelis’s digital transformation moves to the cloud
Revelis is migrating its computing infrastructure, databases, and development environments from physical on-premise servers at its Rende headquarters to the public cloud, while simultaneously strengthening cybersecurity and workspace tools across all 18 team workstations. The project is co-financed by the European Union, the Italian State, and the Region of Calabria.

Services Migrated to the Cloud
July 2026 – July 2027
Implementation Period
The Project
A company developing artificial intelligence and big data analytics solutions requires an elastic, secure, and low-maintenance infrastructure. The project funded by the Voucher addresses three key areas identified in the Digital Diagnosis conducted by an independent Innovation Manager.
Through the Voucher, the company is migrating these services to the public cloud, adopting Kubernetes for container orchestration, a managed PostgreSQL service, and cloud network storage for backups. This migration provides an opportunity to containerize applications and data processing procedures, making them more scalable and easier to deploy.
In parallel, workstations are being upgraded with higher-tier productivity and collaboration tools featuring integrated digital signatures, advanced endpoint protection, and AI coding assistants to accelerate software development workflows.
Finally, the new cloud environment is secured using native solutions for identity and access management, network and data security, Docker image vulnerability scanning, and security event analysis.
Planned Interventions
Three types of interventions provided by the Call, each with measurable targets verified by a post-implementation diagnosis:
Intervention A:
Digital Workplace
Upgrade to a productivity and collaboration plan offering increased storage, advanced security features, and digital document signing; higher-grade endpoint protection; AI assistant licenses for automating software development workflows. All services are maintained for at least 36 months from activation.
Intervention C:
Cloud Computing
Application server hosted on a three-node Kubernetes cluster; PostgreSQL database on a managed service; web server for continuous integration tools (artifact repository, build and test pipelines, static code analysis) on a second Kubernetes cluster; cloud network storage for backups. Cloud services are guaranteed for at least 36 months.
Intervention D:
Cyber Security
Identity and access management with strong authentication, network and data security, endpoint protection, container image vulnerability management, security analytics, application security, and tools for risk governance and compliance.
Expected Results
Project goals as defined in the initial ex-ante Digital Diagnosis. Upon completion of all activities, this page will be updated with the achieved results.
Greater Growth Capacity
A scalable, reliable infrastructure to support the growing demand for Revelis services and shorten the time-to-market for new features using AI tools in the development lifecycle.
Lower Operating Costs
Reduced on-premise hardware maintenance, lower energy consumption, optimized cloud resource usage through container orchestration, and automation of repetitive tasks.
Reduced Risks
End-to-end protection of the new cloud environment, encrypted backups, and continuous vulnerability monitoring—minimizing exposure to incidents, data breaches, and service disruptions to safeguard Revelis’s banking and industrial clients.
